• Utilize CAD software to create detailed and accurate sheet metal designs, taking into consideration functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Select appropriate materials and processes based on project requirements, including bending, cutting, welding, and finishing.
• Develop prototypes and conduct tests to validate design concepts and ensure they meet performance expectations.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, considering factors such as cost, lead time, and ease of assembly.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide guidance and support during the fabrication process.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to any challenges or issues that arise during fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies.
• Stay current with industry trends, advancements in sheet metal technology, and best practices.
